I am posting this today, but I made these cards two weeks ago. I didn't want to spoil the surprise. Some of my siblings are coming to visit me (arrived yesterday), and I made them some welcome baskets to welcome them to the beach. Of course, each needs a card with their name on it! I really love this look, and I think I will be using this 'template' for many cards in years to come!
Paper: Taken with Teal, Summer Sun, Pink Passion, Pumpkin Pie
Ink: Taken with Teal, Summer Sun, Pink Passion, Pumpkin Pie, black marker
Stamp Sets: Holiday Blitz, Mini Backgrounds (retired), alphabet set (not SU)
Embellishments: grosgrain ribbon in Tempting Turquoise, Summer Sun, Pink Passion, Pumpkin Pie
Tools: 1 3/8 square punch, paper cutter, scissors
Four great colors for 4 great kids!
Closer up, they are all the same...excuse the shadow on this one!

Paper Bag Scrapbook
We had so much fun! One person made an actual scrapbook for fathers day, and everyone else made a baby book. Some others had some cute ideas for the inside, making "split pages" (like I did on the black and white), for the dark & light browns, greens and blues. I made this at the workshop for myself...actually as a gift for our neighbors little girl, born that same day!
Side profile of the little 3D ladybug, it's just adorable
Then the next day (today actually), I got this one done, for my new little nephew. Notice my catering to Canadian spelling! Looks perfect! I tried to give this one a little more of a boy feel, so I used paper tabs for the pull outs instead of ribbon. And cookie monster was the only thing I could think of to make for the front that was boy-ish. His eyes are made with buttons, to give them a 3D effect, the white part only, then I put black paper over that for the centers.

Window Card
This card is a little bit of an odd size (3.5 x 3.5) I was just in a creative groove and wasn't really paying attention to the particulars, I was just trying to get my ideas "out"! Anyway, it forced me to make an envelope to fit it, which you can see in my previous post. This card is for a highschool grad we know. She is headed to college next year, and her fave colors are pink & green!

Pocket Note Holder
Just trying out some things to make with my new Circle Scissor Plus! It's so fun!! This note card holder would make a great gift (holds about three 3 x 3 cards), and is made from a 6" circle. Love it!
Making an Envelope
To make an envelope to fit any odd sized card. Find a normal envelope that will fit the card, seal it, and cut a portion away, making it the size of your card (slightly larger). Then use some Designer Paper, and secure it on the back, and then the front. EASY. And really cute. I made a 3.5 x 3.5 card today, and had to make this envelope to fit it!
This is what it will look like sealed
Open on the top, (sorry, I forgot to flip the picture)
