Mini Album

You know me and my obsession with mini-albums, right?! It all started with the double slider album, and then I created all kinds of little ones...then a flip version...and now I've created another. J'adore! They look so cute on the bookshelf and are nice and easy to pull out and show people.

Pull on ribbon tabs and bring up a double sided (removable) insert with more pics!

Everytime I make one of these I say, CUTEST EVER! And then I love the next one I make even more! I have created another mini album - Can't wait to show you how it works! It will be all decorated soon!

Christmas Card Inspiration

...for next year!

Peace on Earth

In an 8x10 frame. A little Christmas art that is making me really happy to look at! I love it! I used a tree cut out from Paper Crafters Library's special Christmas projects - Not on their regular site, I don't think, but a special email sent out to people who requested it, it's a free thing they do every year with about 12 weeks worth of Christmas fun!

Need: Tree (I used Old Olive)
Scrap papers in just about any colours you want!
1" punch
3/4" punch
1/2" punch
buttons and embellishments
glue dots
stampin' dimensionals

To show some dimension. Basically, you punch out circles and start layering them up! No rhyme or reason, just keep doing it until you like the look!

For the sentiment, I considered stamping something, but I had some chipboard Christmas phrases (peace, joy, love, believe), so I chose one and heat embossed with Cherry Cobbler powder.

I LOVE IT! So fun, cute, and happy!

Easy Card!

How to make this card, so that all the images line up perfectly on the layers...

Use a normal sized card (5.5x4.25). Cut white card stock to 4.75x3.5 and 4x2.75

Line up the card stock neatly, use a small amount of adhesive if desired

Stamp over all three layers

More stamping!

Cut coloured cardstock to 4.25x3 and 5x3.75, remove the layers and adhere the coloured paper, and then place everything back together.

Add sentiment and embellish as desired. A beautiful card, and really easy to make!

Wedding Crafts

There is something about the decor and crafty side of weddings that makes me wish I could get married everyday, just to use up all my ideas:-) My sister in law got married this past weekend, and I was lucky enough to get to help her with some things...first we did the wedding invitations, and they were perfectly lovely. 

I bought this Stampin' Up set, called Everything Eleanor. It's a set of 8, but I only needed it for 2 stamps specifically, the bird, and the large swirly thing

A classy and elegant program for the guests attending the ceremony

The program was Very Vanilla cardstock (8.5 x 11), cut exactly in half. It was three pages long. Tied with Not Quite Navy ribbon, and stamped ("stamping off" technique) with Not Quite Navy too.

I designed the programs in MS Word, and used the fonts, Helinda Rook and Adobe Garamond Pro

Another thing we did was make these little tags. Every place setting at the reception had a tag like this (with twine tied to it), and they filled out a small nugget of advice for the Bride & Groom, and placed it on a tree. Sweet, and beautiful too.

I used a Creative Memories large tag punch, and Very Vanilla cardstock. Bird stamped in Not Quite Navy.

This is a small gift the Bride & Groom gave to people that helped them prepare for the wedding

I used the same fonts as with the invitations and programs.

I stamped with Versamark on the coffee bags, and used Versamark, silver embossing powder and heat tool for the bird on Not Quite Navy cardstock (paired with Whisper White)

I also helped to make birds that hung from the branches at each table. I don't seem to have any pictures of them, but they were very cute. We bought a die for the big shot, that was the perfect bird, from Michaels. They were cut out of SU's embossed designer paper, and other paper that was printed with music notes.
