Owl Grad
Now isn't this the CUTEST owl ever?!! He's made with lots of punches...the regular circle scallop, and then lots of different sized circles!
Up close! His beak is 1 petal from the 5 petal flower punch, and his feet are half of a star burst die. |

Piggy Banks
Here are some adorable little piggy banks I made for my kids. Using the little milk carton die I made something that will visually help them how to split up the money they make, (Spend, Save, Give). They are sooo cute!!
I didn't adhere the back part, so it can be removed by taking the clip off. I thought that might be easier for getting bills back out.

Class Results!
These are some of the tea bag holders made by class attendees. They ALL turned out GREAT. I only have a couple pics. So happy they all look so good!
Top Notes
Here's a really cute and simple notecard, using the Top Notes Die, exclusive to Stampin' Up!
I made 4 of them using a few different papers and color combos. LOVE them all, don't you?!! Give me a comment or two (here or on my facebook page "Darby Jane Stamps") if you'd like to see a tutorial on this one!

May Class - Tea Time!
This month we'll be making this adorable little tea bag holder, perfect to set out on your counter! It's cute, and handy for making all that sweet tea this summer! It would also make an adorable gift. As with all my classes, once you attend you will get the instructions to make this again on your own!
I will be designing a new "front" using the words "sweet tea" - instead of just the teapot, for those that don't drink hot tea. I'll post pics here soon!
DATE: Friday, May 20th
TIME: 7:30
COST (will include tea for the inside too!): $10 (if you bring your own sticky strip) OR $13 (if you use my sticky strip)
I will be pre cutting and scoring this for you, so everything is ready to go! - we will be making the base out of choc. chip cardstock, and the paper patterns in either "Woodland Walk" or "Greenhouse Gala". Take a look at the pics, and please specify which of these you like (IE which colors will match your kitchen - if none of these do, please tell me, we can work with other options, I have LOTS of paper!).
Please ask if you have any questions! Can't wait to see you there!!

Butterfly card
Something fun, cheery, and a little different.
Lacking motivation to edit this one and flip it around. You can see the embossing up close
See how it works? It's a see-thru card...the butterflies are on the top and the bottom, making them look dimensional, and "whole". A different idea I was testing out, and it looked pretty cool, I thought.

Thoughts and Prayers
An extremely cute, yet serene card. I am very happy with its simplicity, yet there are lots of interesting elements with the dimensionals, shimmer paint, roughed edges...and I've never tried this combo before, but will definitely use it again! Certainly Celery, Wild Wasabi & Chocolate Chip

Butterflies
I think it would be safe to say that Certainly Celery is my favorite color! I love it so much! This is a card I cased from the Paper Crafters Library. Isn't it gorgeous?
A close up of those little butterflies. Sooooo cute. It's one of my favorite cards, and would look so great in so many color combos wouldn't it?

Long Side, Short Side - Video
Check out this little explanation to help you with the "long side, short side"...it will help you save paper with fewer mistakes, I hope!
Sorry for trying to do everything with only one hand, I had to hold the camera!

Gift Card Tin
It's been awhile since I've had some crafting time! I'm itching to get back at it! This past week I was "forced" to make a little gift card holder. Can't give a gift card in the plan ol' paper holder they give you in the store...well you can but it's just so boring by comparison!
I was very happy with the result, seeing as I pulled it out of my brain in less than 30 mins!

Embossed Tin
To fill a cute little frame I already had...
I had a sheet of tin from Michaels, and I didn't really know what to do with it. Brilliance! It embosses in the Big Shot! Cute, right?
I really love it, and so does my husband. Perhaps the manly element of tin makes it appealing, even with flowers:-) A very cute and display worthy decoration. Created in waaaaay less than 30 minutes too!
While I had my crafting stuff out, time to make a slider album for my little niece Vienna! It turned out really cute!

Ribbon Bookmark
These little bookmarks are soooo cute! They are cut from Bigz dies on the Big Shot, and although mine are paper, if you like to sew, you could also cut them out of fabric and stitch them all together, and I think it would be nice too. I do like the sponging effects and dimensionality of the paper ones though (they have spacers between the layers). Soooo cute. Quick and easy gift for sure!

How To: 3x3 envelope
How do you make a matching, super cute envelope to go with your card?
One thing you need to know about me - I *love* 3x3 cards. They are my faves!! They are just so cute! So to go with those sweet little cards, here's a sweet envelope!
Start with sacrificing one of your Stampin' Up 3x3 envelopes, by carefully taking it apart (To fit that size card, it measures a little bigger than 3x3, really). Keep this as your template.
All of Stampin' Up's Designer Paper is double sided. Which would be perfect for the hand delivered card/gift, but could be a little much to put through the mail, depending on the pattern. You can always use your non-SU designer paper to make one with a white side, and fold it white side out.

Hold the template to your designer paper and cut out. No need to trace it, it's so simple! Use some Dotto removable adhesive if you want to/need to |
(This is the other side of that same paper). Use a bone folder, or your scoring blade, and score lines from corner to corner on each side |
Fold and adhere. Isn't it cute?! |

The outside is white for mailing. A little more tame, but still really special and pretty when opened up! |

Simple Top Note
I am totally digging this color combo...black, white and crumb cake!
This card I wanted to make like a patchwork quilt of sorts, with the top notes die. I am pretty happy with the results. The detail on the black squares is heat embossed, black on black for a textured feel. Pretty cool! The cherries are a stamp set, I drew free-hand the stripes and dots with my Versa-marker. Love that thing so much! Simple and clean to look at, which I like, and a fairly easy degree of difficulty, providing you know how to heat emboss. If you don't, I really need to teach you, it's one of my fave techniques!!

Gift set
If you know me, you know I like simple, cute, and 3x3 cards! This is a combination of all three. In LOVE!
This is a little gift set of cards and envelopes. They all fit in this little pizza style box, complete with cute belly band. Perfect stocking stuffer for female relatives, teacher gift for school and church, small little birthday gift add-on...pretty much any occasion will be made so much sweeter with these little guys around!
Here's the box opened, full of cards!
Used: Button, Flocking, Crystal Effects with re-inker, Blender pens, Ribbon, Glitter, Colored sticky gem
I think you can tell pretty easily which is which here...Belly band says "Purrrfect!"
"Happy bird-day!", "Get whale soon!", "Love you a latte!", "Hip-hippo-ray!", "I stink you're sweet!", "Thank ewe!"

All the cards inside. They are all heat embossed with black powder, and then one different color or feature is brought out on each card. Super cute! |
